Will Glover Graduation From Ole Miss 19 Ater the war Will  Glover returned to Moundville Alabama in the spring of 1946. Bear Bryant coach for University of Kentucky came scouting for young Glover twice but could not make contact. (Later in life  Bryant and Glover would cross paths and golf at several events)   The University of Alabama offered a scholarship for the fall of 1946. But Will wanted to get back into school right away so when the University of Mississippi  Ole Miss offered a scholarship they said he could start In June 1946. Will accepted and played football from 1946-1950.

1947 Will held the Rebels Single game  punt return record (page 148)  of 155 yards. This record remain for 55 years until 2002. While Will was watching C-Span when heard his name and the record had finally been broke.  The rebels were champions of the South Eastern Conference that year. Will Glover lettered tailback and Safety. It was coach Johnny Vaught’s first SEC championship. All American Team Mates were Charlie Conerly and Barney Pooleswill-glover-left-220-yard-dash-spring-1948

Will Glover lettered in both football and track. He held the record for the Ole Miss Rebel 220 dash  for 36 years although I was not able to locate the record..
